Verification

What the Verified badge means

The Verified badge means a site has passed our full verification process, including a real-money purchase test. It appears on site listings, search results, and the site's profile page.

What it confirms

A Verified badge tells you three things:

  • Identity confirmed - the site operator is a real, identifiable business entity with public contact information
  • Security checked - the site meets our baseline security standards for SSL, payment processing, and account protection
  • Real purchase tested - we completed a real transaction on the site and documented the experience from signup to withdrawal

The badge also means the site cooperated with our verification process. Operators who refuse access or block test accounts cannot earn verification.

What it does not guarantee

The badge is a snapshot of the site's state at the time of verification and during ongoing monitoring. It does not guarantee:

  • Every future transaction - individual experiences vary based on item, payment method, region, and timing
  • Permanent status - a site can lose verification if conditions change
  • Endorsement - Verified is a factual status, not a recommendation. We do not rank Verified sites above unverified ones by default

A site with a high Trust Score but no Verified badge may still be trustworthy. Verification and Trust Score measure different things. Trust Score aggregates community reviews, security data, and traffic metrics. Verification is a direct, manual assessment by our team.

Where it appears

The badge displays in three places:

Location Format
Site listing cards Small badge icon next to the site name
Site profile page Badge with "Verified" label in the header
Search results Badge icon in the result snippet

If you see a Verified badge, the site passed every stage of our process and continues to meet our standards through ongoing monitoring.
