Linking your Steam or Discord account to Tested.gg adds credibility to your reviews. Linked accounts show a badge on your profile and next to your reviews, signaling to other users that you are a verified owner of that account.
Why link your accounts
Reviews from users with linked accounts carry more weight. When you review a trading site and your Steam account shows activity in that game, readers know your experience is real. Linked accounts also help the community identify authentic feedback versus throwaway reviews.
Linking is optional. You can write reviews without any linked accounts, but your reviews display without the verification badge.
How to link an account
- Go to Settings > Linked Accounts
- Click Link next to the account you want to connect
- Sign in through the provider's authorization flow
- Authorize Tested.gg to view your public profile
We access public profile data only - display name, avatar, and user ID. We do not access private data such as inventories, messages, friends lists, or trade history.
How to unlink
Go to Settings > Linked Accounts and click Unlink next to the account you want to remove. Unlinking is immediate. Your past reviews keep the text you wrote, but the linked-account badge is removed from them. You can re-link at any time by repeating the steps above.
One account per provider
You can link one account per provider to your Tested.gg profile. Linking a new account from the same provider replaces the previous one. The same external account cannot be linked to multiple Tested.gg profiles.
